New Surface Mount Clock Oscillators From Euroquartz Available On Quick Turnaround

Euroquartz has introduced two new series of surface mount clock oscillators that can be supplied on quick turnaround from the company’s UK manufacturing facility. The new QuikXO series products are ideal for R&D and small to medium batch production applications with samples available in just 24 hours and larger quantities in three to seven days.

Two package sizes are available, miniature 3.2 x 2.5 x 1.1mm (model EHTF32) and ultra- miniature 2.0 x 1.6 x 0.8mm (model EHTF21) with frequencies ranging from 1 to 200MHz. The devices are factory configurable for quick turnaround offering frequency stability from ±25ppm to ±100ppm over the industrial temperature range of -40 to +85°C. Supply voltage options are 1.8, 2.5 or 3.3V with tristate (enable/disable) function as standard and RMS jitter of 0.9ps typical.

Offering LVCMOS compatible output load capability of 15pF, the new QuikXO fast turnaround clock oscillators are an ideal option for embedded applications and development engineers or those requiring custom frequencies at short notice. Additional specifications include rise/fall time from 3 to 5ns and supply current from 30 to 45mA depending on input voltage range, duty cycle of 50% ±5% for frequencies up to 150MHz, ±10% above, and start- up time of 4.5ms typical, 10ms maximum. Ageing is ±3ppm maximum in first year at 25°C, ±2ppm per year thereafter.

The EHTF32 and EHTF21 SMD clock oscillators are fully RoHS-compliant and are suitable for reflow soldering at 260°C for 10 seconds.
