Remote Analyzers with Receiver Characteristics

Source: Narda Safety Test Solutions GmbH

The NRA family of remote network analyzers recently received an upgrade to its line. The NRA RX is a new generation of RF analyzers ideal for radio monitoring applications. This is due to their ability to analyze signals up to 6 GHz in the frequency and time domains, while exhibiting receiver-like characteristics at the same time.

What differentiates this line of analyzers from the previous NRA generation is the RF module that the NRA RX analyzers are equipped with. The module was designed and developed specifically for low phase noise and low intrinsic interference.

Notable features include:

  • Yield spectrums comprised of 600,000 frequency points
  • Time resolutions as fine as around 30 nanoseconds
  • Capture high channel bandwidths with intermediate frequency bandwidths of up to 32 MHz
  • Automatically detects and accounts for the calibration data of Narda's own brand of antennas and RF cables, removing the need for conversion calculations in monitoring safety measurements in electromagnetic fields

Three models are currently available. The NRA-2500 covering the 5 MHz to 2.5 GHz range, the NRA-3000 RX, covering the 9 kHz to 3 GHz range, and the NRA-6000 RX, covering the 9 kHz to 6 GHz range.
