S-Band 750 kW Magnetron: VMS1197B
The VMS1197B magnetron is a high-power microwave oscillator in which the potential energy of an electron cloud near the cathode is converted into RF energy in a series of cavity resonators. This 750 kW magnetron operates within the 2.7 – 2.9 (S-band) GHz frequency range and delivers high peak and average RF power for use in weather, medical, or industrial applications.
The VMS1197B is designed to mount directly into new and existing sockets and can be operated under various pulse and input conditions to accommodate wide ranging operating requirements. In addition to high power, the VMS1197B features excellent frequency stability, low jitter, and long life.
