In response to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) mandate for signal spectrum separation of incompatible wireless technologies, K&L Microwave, Inc. has added an 800-MHz duplexer to it's product portfolio that has been specifically designed to eliminate interference with lower SMR spectrum or Public Safety radios.

The WSD-00420 ESMR duplexer is reaching thresholds of this technology with it's extreme low insertion loss and tight rejection at 861.5 MHz this filter has been optimized for performance and cost. We achieve this critically sharp roll-off in the guard and expansion bands below 862 MHz by utilizing seven resonators with three finite transmission zeros. The asymmetric design is based on K&L's USA Patents: US6236292 and US5936490 which facilitates placement of finite transmission zeros below a pass-band, utilizing a cascade of Tri-Sections in TE01 single mode ceramic resonators. This configuration offers high-Q (approximately 24000), temperature stability and excellent power handling (100W CW). Also, the WSD-00420 duplexer maintains spurious-free response up to 2700 MHz. Units can be installed standalone, or three across in a 19" rack.
