  • I’m Going As A Nobel Prize Winner For Halloween

This year’s batch of Nobel Laureates all seem to be fine scientists, researchers, authors, and leaders who don’t seem to have anything to do with Halloween. But don’t worry, we found some past award winners who do!

FEATURED PRODUCTS

Bird’s® ACM is the solution for monitoring your transmission/antenna systems.   The ACM works with any modulation, detects antenna and cable faults, and provides alarms for low or high power and high VSWR.  Models are available from 136 MHz to 2.4 GHz and include as standard a Push-To-Talk (PTT) input to avoid false alarm triggering when the transmitter (radio) is not keyed.   Now available with either a Serial or Ethernet interface.

Krytar manufactures microwave detectors using zero bias silicon schottky diodes and planar doped detector diodes. Testing and Term definition for performance of the two types are identical.

The SAS-521-2 is a bilogical antenna designed to provide and inexpensive solution to wideband applications ranging from 25 MHz to 2 GHz in environments from shielded enclosures to the outdoors. Suitable for FCC, MIL-STD, VDE, TEMPEST and immunity testing, the SAS-521-2 provides consistent and reliable measurements. The antenna also eliminates the need for antenna switching and therefore makes this unique hybrid a versatile performer.

The dB-3774B is a pulsed microwave power module (MPM) operating in the 6 to 18 GHz frequency range. It provides 1 kW peak power at 5% maximum duty cycle and is designed for high-performance electronic warfare applications. A periodic permanent magnet (PPM)-focused, conduction-cooled mini traveling wave tube (TWT) is used for power amplification.

Qorvo offers the QPM2100 GaAs multi-chip module (MCM) ideally designed for S-band electronic warfare, communications, and radar applications in the 2.5 – 40 GHz frequency range. This device comprises a transmit/receive (T/R) switch, a low loss transmit path, and received path consisting of a low-noise amplifier, a digital attenuator, and a driver amplifier.

This multi-octave power amplifier is ideal for applications involving RF communication systems, broadband RF telemetry, test labs, and software defined radios.
