High-Loss, Ultra-Thin, Elastomeric Microwave Absorber: ECCOSORB® BSR
Emerson & Cuming’s ECCOSORB® BSR is an ultra-thin elastomeric microwave absorber that reduces or eliminates surface currents, cavity resonance, coupling, and in general, dampens reflections.
This microwave absorber covers a 6 GHz to mm wave frequency range and features low out-gassing properties for space applications. Other ideal areas of use include high reliability aerospace and military applications due to its excellent thermal cycling, shock, and vibration absorption characteristics.
ECCOSORB® BSR is available in 12” x 12” sheets with standard thicknesses of 0.010” (0.25mm), 0.020” (0.51mm), 0.040” (1.01mm), 0.060” (1.52mm), and 0.100” (2.54mm). Other thicknesses, sizes, and shapes are available upon request. The sheets can be fitted to compound curves and are can be cut with a knife or scissors.
