Understanding RF Inductor Specifications
Source: Coilcraft, Inc.
By Coilcraft, Inc.
There are many key parameters that must be considered for RF inductor selection, including the mounting type, inductance value, current rating, DC resistance, self-resonant frequency, Q factor, and temperature rating. A balance must be met between the desired smaller sizes of the inductor package, and the inductance value and current rating. Once these two parameters are determined, the other parameters can then be optimized. Download the full white paper for more information on how to better optimize the specifications when making your RF inductor selections.
