FCC-4 Tuned Dipole Antenna - 325 MHz - 1000 MHz
Source: A.H. Systems
A.H. Systems FCC-4 half-wave dipole antenna, consisting of a matching balun, two horizontal elements, and a mounting clamp and tape measure to adjust the element lengths, is the simplest form of antenna.
Each antenna element is adjusted to a quarter wavelength (half wavelength total) this will create a precise resonating response at the frequency of interest.
The antenna balun is constructed per the W. K. Roberts design as specified in the ANSI C63.5 standard and consists of a folded balun that converts the 70-ohm (at resonance) to 50-ohm impedance. This balun design exhibits a low VSWR, low balun loss and can handle power up to 60 watts.
